I have been making images since childhood. My mother, an artist whose medium was paint, and I remember her for creative craziness. I suppose these days you would refer to it as ADHD. Her mind was like a dancer that moved from one thing to another, never looking behind.. She loved the natural world; the landscapes of North Wales and The Lake District. If there was a storm, when other people would hide indoors, she would take me and my sister to the coast to watch the waves pounding over the sea wall. There was beauty in chaos.
As a photo artist, my medium is light. The camera feeds on light, and uses it to snatch moments in time, preserved like butterflies.
